- Founder & Lead Guide: Ian Gil -
Born in Viña Del Mar, Chile, I moved to the United States at an early age. When I was about 14 years old, I strapped on a snowboard for the first time at the mountain resort of El Colorado, Chile. Ever since that day I have been hooked on snowboarding and have done everything in my life to spend as much time on snow. Lucky for me, I split my time between North America and South America so I can enjoy snow year-round.

I even picked my college, where I received a bachelors in Spanish and a bachelors in Education, because of its close proximity to the biggest ski resort on the east coast of the United States. Living near the mountains and snow fueled my passion to compete in boardercross, big air and slope-style competitions, which I continue to do and enjoy today.

I also have experience as an instructor and coach (PSIA level 3) and formal training with my first love, the backcountry, through the Canadian Avalanche Association Level 1 and American Institute for Avalanche Research & Education level 2. I also gained my Wilderness First Responder certification in one of the most intense and knowledge filled course I’ve ever taken. I can’t describe a better feeling than guiding a tour and seeing the enjoyment and excitement of my group.

Since my first tour of Chile, I have dedicated my American summers to showing skiers and snowboarders the best that Chile has to offer. My goal with every tour I guide is to ensure your safety, while pushing your limits, your skill and tell a you a little bit about the beautiful country of Chile along the way.
